Hey — I’m Murat, the voice behind The Sound Vault. I am sharing the story of my other song, “Pathway Leading to Better Dumps”. If it moves you, please give it a listen and support by sharing.

It was 2010. The weekend was winding down and a new week loomed ahead—slow, heavy, and far from the goals I kept chasing. Boredom has always pushed me to create; when I’m restless I make things. That afternoon I was alone in my apartment in Istanbul, lucky to have a stack of compatible sound banks at my fingertips. I picked up the guitar, fingers wandering until they landed on an arpeggio that felt like a small discovery. I recorded its MIDI and started experimenting on my computer.
Good songs often arrive suddenly. I’ve had that instant where everything clicks—the universe seems to nudge you, luck lines up, you find the exact tone, the right melody. That day felt both prize and punishment. The prize: I produced a song I still love and others have loved with me. The punishment: the tangle of life and work—what I’d settled into—was not what I’d dreamed for years. Dreamers understand this: when you’re doing something you truly enjoy, it can feel like the best thing in the world. That’s why I always search for the good—in life, in work, in friends and family.
This song holds those feelings for me, a permanent echo of that moment. Life is good, even when some songs are sad. I hope you enjoy it. If you do, please help me share it—maybe I’ll gain one or two more listeners I’d be happy to sit with over tea.
