Some great tips. I especially like the template suggestion for querying on forums such as Reddit.
I was doing internet radio myself for a while but it’s a lot of work programming a show. I’ve taken a break but would like to get back to it, especially if I was more aware of listeners who appreciated the gems I was sharing (and if I was not so distracted by work and family stuff).
Listening to great music and saving it feels precious, but it’s harder than ever. I save every good track to my playlists and then add it to my blog with extra context I don’t always have. Blogs used to be the best way to discover albums and artists, but many have faded — I suspect streaming platforms reduced their traffic. I enjoy learning the stories and background behind songs. This post is my modern take on discovering new music and spotlighting platforms that are active and provide meaningful context.
